EXPERIENCE
Office Assistant at Longwood High School.
In this capacity, I showed secretaries and administrators
how to use features of their application programs,
and how to correct various problems.
For the past five semesters,
I have served as a Lab Assistant
at Suffolk County Community College
for the CM-41 and CM-35 courses in web site design.
My job was to help the students
create, correct, and debug their HTML and javascript codes.
Computer consultant to two local Long Island companies,
installing software, configuring systems, creating graphics and audio files,
web pages, etc.
(One is a marine engineering company;
the other is a law firm.)
Also did media, computer, and database work
for a candidate for election to the NY state legislature, 1998.
I have written three of my own multimedia web pages,
including my main homepage at:
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/9111/
I have been an administrator of a mud (Multi User Dungeon),
After participating as a player,
I was promoted to administrator by
demonstrating my knowledge to the site managers.
I wrote several modules ("worlds") for a game engine utilizing a
4th generation programming language. The engine is known as
ZZT.
I have a shareware copy of it and would like to demonstrate
some of the levels I wrote, as well of those
of a student whom I mentored.
(I taught him to program
in this engine, and he has done some nice work using it.)
I am in the process of writing a new module (world)
for a more-advanced engine called megazeux.
This module recreates an 8-bit Nintendo game called the Legend of
ZeldaTM.
I taught my friend (the same one) to use this engine
as well, and have one of his works here in two forms: the
original he wrote, and the modifications I made to it.
I would be pleased to demonstrate
the most recent version of my reproduction of Zelda,
along with the original cartridge Nintendo version.
